Almaty Marathon – 2017: KCP is among contestants

Sixth Almaty Marathon, unparalleled race throughout Central Asia, kicked off on 23 April 2017.

It united more than 20 000 runners and started at 8.00 am in the Park of the First President of Kazakhstan. KCP employees also took part in this marathon. By the way, KCP was part opf this Marathon pursuing charitable purposes in 2016, too.

Participant ran full marathon (42 km 195 m), semi marathon (21 km), 10 km race and children’s contest (3 km). The 2017 program also included corporate relay Eidem and Nordic walking.

According to organizers, the vast majority ran 10 km race. Among runnders once could see both the youth and the elderly.

Marathon united people from all around the world. Almaty Marathon is held annually on the last Sunday in April. The raised funds will be donated to children suffering from serious diseases and for construction of facilities for people with special needs.
