Optimization of operational processes continues on Kazakhstan-China Pipeline
Kazakh-Chinese Pipeline LLP continues to use technologies to extend the service life of equipment and optimize operational processes.

In October of this year, an experimental epoxy protective coating, consisting of two layers of fiberglass and five layers of epoxy, was applied to process pipelines at the Partnership's branch in Alashankou (in China). It was used on four sections of process pipelines. The total length of the isolated sections is 21 meters. The warranty period for the material used and the work performed is 20 years.

Tests of the new coating demonstrated results exceeding the requirements of the SY/T 6854-2012 standard. This extended the service life of equipment, increased its strength, and improved the resistance of the process pipelines to climatic and aggressive effects. The new protective coating composition boasts high hardness at low temperatures, is resistant to moisture, ultraviolet radiation, and chemically active environments, is suitable for new and existing pipes, requires minimal surface preparation, and helps reduce maintenance costs.
