Seminar-meeting on anti-corruption, compliance with business ethics, and Conflict of Interest Management

On June 20, a seminar-meeting on anti-corruption, compliance with business ethics, and conflict of interest management among officials and employees was held in the office of Kazakhstan-China Pipeline LLP.

The event was attended by: G.Zh. Moldagaliyeva, the head of the compliance service of NC KazMunayGas JSC, the management of the Partnership, as well as the heads of structural units.

G.Zh. Moldagaliyeva made a report on the compliance function, the role of top management in the corporate compliance system, the anti-corruption management system, and the main elements of the compliance system aimed at compliance with sanctions legislation.

Examples of corruption in the quasi-public sector were given in detail. The participants considered the legal and ethical aspects of the fight against corruption, as well as the role and responsibility of the management for compliance with anti-corruption standards.

The head of the anti-corruption compliance service of the Partnership, R.M. Nurpeissov, spoke about the main provisions of the Rules for managing conflicts of interest among officials and employees of the Partnership.

During the seminar-meeting, the present heads of the Partnership expressed their approval in support of initiatives aimed at combating corruption.

At the end of the seminar-meeting, B.K. Turlybekov, Deputy General Director for Production spoke and said that the Partnership pays special attention to development of the anti-corruption compliance system, and regular training and awareness raising in the field of business ethics remain important components of the company's corporate strategy.
