Mid-Autumn Festival

The Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节 Zhōngqiū jié) is one of the most important traditional holidays in China. Zhongqiujie is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the Chinese lunar calendar, when the moon is especially round and beautiful. Initially, it was a harvest festival: it was during this period that the harvest season came to an end, the time of abundance came, and people could have a good rest. Today the essence of the holiday is in the unity of the family.

On the eve of this day, a festive event was held in the Partnership’s office in a warm and cheerful atmosphere. The event was attended by Qian Yalin, General Director of Kazakhstan-China Pipeline LLP, Nurzhan Sultanaliyev, First Deputy General Director, and heads of units.

Qian Yalin congratulated the Partnership employees on the Mid-Autumn Festival according to the lunar calendar and wished everyone health, prosperity and family happiness.

“It is a special holiday where the Chinese usually gather with their families. Unfortunately, our employees are now far from their relatives, and they do not have the opportunity to be near them. Therefore, we decided to organize this holiday and celebrate it together, since KCP is also part of their common family,” Qian Yalin said.
