Meeting on preliminary custody transfer of Alashankou facilities

The meeting summed up the results of 13 years. During the years of cooperation between KCP with the Western Pipeline Company significant achievements have been made in the field of safe operation of Kazakhstan-China MP. The First Deputy General Director of KCP Nurzhan Sultanaliyev read out an appreciation letter, as well as presented certificates of merit to distinguished employees who made an outstanding contribution to the production and operation of OMS Alashankou.


At the meeting representatives of DBOGT and Xinjiang branch thanked the management of Kazakhstan-China Pipeline LLP, their colleagues and partners for support and beneficial cooperation. The representatives of DBOGT assured that they would maintain communication and ensure the production and operation activity related to the new cooperation format after the transformation. Xinjiang branch of SPI informed about preparations for the custody transfer of operation and maintenance of OMS Alashankou. Custody transfer will be carried out according to the plan approved with DBOGT and Alashankou Branch, which will ensure safe and accident-free production, smooth painless transition, and full readiness for the upcoming operation.


In turn, General Director of KCP Qian Yalin noted that Kazakhstan-China MP from the moment of commissioning has been a model of beneficial cooperation between China and Kazakhstan. "Safe, efficient production and operation, as well as accurate metrological metering by OMS Alashankou are of great importance for cooperation in the oil and gas industry of the two countries," he said.


The Partnership understands the choice of DBOGT - abandonment of operation and maintenance of the metrological station Alashankou due to the reformation of the industry management system. Qian Yalin thanked DBOGT for its significant contribution to the continuous, safe production and operation of Kazakhstan-China MP over 13 years.


"I hope for support of close cooperation by DBOGT, especially in terms of assistance to OMS Alashankou in case of emergency, as well as interaction with suppliers and consumers on fire safety and power supply," - he stressed.


After the meeting all attendants visited OMS Alashankou and IPS Alashankou.
